The InsuLogix® G2 acetylene, hydrogen, and moisture monitor combines early detection of incipient faults with critical fault detection in power transformers by measuring the presence of two key gases, hydrogen and acetylene, as well as moisture.

The single valve design uses state-of-the-art, self-calibrating laser sensor technology to detect acetylene (C2H2) gas as low as 0.5 ppm, providing an early indication of a critical fault condition within your asset. This allows for a confident, rapid response that is key to saving your transformers and preventing costly unplanned outages.

An intuitive, locally hosted web server user interface eliminates the need for extensive training to use the device, lowering labor costs and providing an efficient user experience for all authorized personnel. 

The InsuLogix® G2 provides early detection of faults in power transformers. The G2 measures the presence of two key gases, plus moisture, for early onset detection of internal faults.

Gases created during an internal fault are a key indicator used to flag the fault’s severity and evolution in power transformers.

By detecting and measuring both hydrogen and acetylene, the InsuLogix® G2 is the only monitor that a transformer operator needs to efficiently and cost effectively monitor the health of the active part of power transformers.

  • Yes, the InsuLogix G2 can be installed and configured by OEMs using the locally hosted web server UI. Check with your transformer manufacturer on availability of service for them to perform device configuration.
